Golf Tip of the Month - April 2010!
Watch the touring pros of the past compared to todays pros. One big difference is the leg movement of the backswing. Todays pros keep their legs still. The right knee stays flexed and still. The left heal stays on the ground. Keeping ourself still on the backswing creates a tighter coil, and more resistance when we turn our shoulder. This also makes it easier to bring the club back to impact. Many people overswing on the backswing or move off the ball. Trying to get more power but losing control of the swing. The best way to hit the ball farther is to hit the ball solid. Make good contact with the ball, and release properly.

Summary:
Less movement on the backswing is going to give you more control of your swing. Keep it as simple as possible. Consistentcy is what we're all after.
