Three Keys to Lowering Your Score
Your tee shot is down the middle of the fairway. You advance the ball around the green. You chip the ball close enough to the hole to one putt. If you do that 50% of the time you're shoting in the high 70's low 80's at worst. If you hit a few greens in regulation, knock in a birdie or two now we're in the mid 70's and that is pretty good golf. So here is my theory of playing better golf for us folks that have to work for a living and don't have time to hit 100's of ball every day and get in over a 100 rounds of golf every year.
1. Learn the basic swing. All improvement comes from the basic swing first. My basic swing system is the first thing I teach everyone.
2. Learn to chip the ball properly. We simply cannot score without good chipping. I have a short game system that is infalable.
3. Learn to drive the ball in the fairway as far as possible, consistently. Every 1/2 inch you're off the center of the club you loss 5%of the shot. Learn to hit the tee shot
on the sweet spot and pick up big yardage without swinging harder.
Improvement comes from the basic golf swing!
After learning the basic swing we can work on the specialty shots. If we're not hitting the tee shot in the fairway it is very difficult to advance the ball to the green. If we cannot make that one chip one putt consistantly look what has happened. It takes another shot to get out of the rough, an extra putt so we have just made double boggy. We're not going to hit the ball as good as Tiger, Arnie, or their buddies but we can develop a game plan to play good golf. I play less than 25 rounds of golf a year, but I have practice strategies that keep my game in the mid 70's. You have to spend your time wisely. Learn to work smart. There are people willing to work hard but it will get you nowhere unless you have a plan and stay with that plan. Golf will be more fun, and you will have a great feeling of great success. Anyone can do it. Let me develop a plan for your swing and your practice routine.
